We recommend that all children receive an initial orthodontic screening at the age of seven. The purpose of an orthodontic screening is to allow the selection of the best possible time for orthodontic therapy to begin, if in fact a problem is identified. Some children have problems so severe that they are best served by Phase I, or early treatment, before the full eruption of the adult teeth. If problems are more moderate, most patients are well treated at dental maturity typically between the ages of 12 and 14.

When Should You Start?

Proper treatment timing can save thousands of dollars in treatment costs as well as reduce the amount of time wearing braces. The goal of our treatment planning is to provide the best possible individualized treatment plan for each patient we examine. No two patients or treatments will be exactly alike.
